Living By the Golf Course

I think the more we live in Kingman the more I like it. We just discovered the joy of playing in the grass after the gold course closes.
For an hour or so the kids all get along and run and jump and play it is very peaceful to just watch and follow them around, usually at this time of day there is a breeze and feels great out.

these are my favorite photos of the kids!

I also really love this one. When I first saw the kids running on this hill I did not have my camera so we had to go back and recreate the shot. Hopefully soon the whole family can get pictures here.

I love these kids and times like this!

School's Out For Summer

We celebrated the last day of school today. I made the a notebook full of crafts, science projects and things to bake for the kids and gave it to them when they got home from school. along with some other surprises.

The kids did their first science project. Brian especially liked the the catapult,

 and the paper boat.

As a tradition we got ice cream after dinner, Katie and Brian earned coupons from school they has earned 5 corn dogs 4 vanilla cones and 1 medium soda!
And this is the beginning of out summer vacation.

Reuben's Blessing Day

Reuben was blesses on April 29th. We went to Tempe so family could more easily attend the blessing.  Before church we has time to take some family pictures. Maybe I get a few where we all smiled. It never happens but they all look cute. I cant believe I have 5 kids! I am so thankful I am healthy and happy and am able to have 5. They really are usually good kids.

Reuben's blessing was very nice I especially like that he was blessing with a scene of humor, and that it would help him in missionary work. Also that he would be able to look to his family and extended family for a good example. as a mother it was nice to hear his older brother will be a good example!

April 2012 Over View

In April Jenny and Grandma came to visit the weekend before Easter. We had a nice quick visit! Gordon was so exited to see Jack, he loves Jack! He loved sharing his bath with 2 extra cousins, I love that they each are playing with a LaLa Loopsy doll

Gordon loved his "footie pajamas"  its probably time to replace them.
This is how we caught Susan about an hour after we put her to bed. After all the company left from Reuben's visitors we got more strict with Susan at bed time and she is really getting pretty good at going to bed now. We read her 3 books if she stays in her room then she usually will read a few by herself before falling asleep. This is a major improvement, she use to stay awake and fall asleep on the couch while Brian and I watch TV. I guess at night we can let just 2 kids stay up and now that Reuben is here Susan has been bumped up to bed time with Brian and Katie. Susan is so funny, most kids want a light on at bed time or a door open But Susan wants the door closed and the lights off, she is like her mama make it as dark as possible!
I am just crazy in love with the roses at our house! We have 10 rose bushes and they make beautiful perfect roses. Sometimes I have a bouquet in the window, one on the table,  one by the door, and one on the kitchen island. I just love them! So does Susan, She wanted to be in a few pictures.

Reuben turned 1 month in April, he is still a sweet baby, he eats and usually goes back to sleep. I love it when he smiles or even laughs in his sleep. Susan especially, and all the kids love to hold him. Reuben is getting lots of love!

 Look at that pretty girl!...Susan

.We went home to Tempe to bless Reuben, while we were at Grandma and Gpas the kids got to ride horses! They all did so well and the horses were very calm. The Mare was named Snow Bear and the miniature horse was Snickers. After Daddy walked with the kids on the horse a few times they were ready to take the horses out alone. They all did so well not getting too scared and controlling the horse. Katie rode the mare a few times, when Susan was on the mini horse the horse ran a few times and Susan held on and kept riding. I was to impressed how well Brian jr handled the horses! He held the lead rope and walked with the younger kids while they rode and he helped put the horses back in the stall, he could get on and off the horse all by himself. He never acted scared and really had fun.
Katie is a natural with the horse

Gordon was the only one unsure, but when Jack came he was not scared anymore and had a great time.
Brian Jr did so well. He needs his own horse someday.

All the kids are still talking about how much fun they had and what it would be like to have a horse. I hope they get the chance to ride again soon.
