April 2012 Easter

Easter 2012
On Easter Day Brian  Jr and Katie were really sick so we took these pictures a week later.
The photos were taken right down the street from our house at a golf course

 All the girls
 All the boys
We made "Bunny Bait" and delivered some to friends in the ward to helped us out  with meals and babysitting during Reuben's delivery and dr appointments.
The kids had fun dieying Easter Eggs. Then I used then to make the egg and potato salad and the deviled eggs.
Easter Sunday Dinner, even though half of us were sick we had a lovely dinner with our fancy dishes.

March 2012

March was full of activities! We began with Brian Jr's birthday. One of the things he wanted was to go goofy golfing. We found a fun place to golf, have pizza, play arcade game and bouncy house.
It was a windy day, like it always seems to be here but the kids had a great time.
We followed the rules and kept score for the first few holes, then just let the kids hit away and have fun.
Even Gordon had a good time with his mini gold club.

All the kids in the bounce house.

After golfing we went to Oatman. We found a bar, next to the ice cream shop, that had dollar bills allover the walls, ceiling, the fan, everywhere. Brian thought it was the coolest thing!
the famous Oatman wild Donkeys.- Funny Story, The white Donkey was really big in the belly probably pregnant. I was also very pregnant and felt simplicity for the donkey, and everybody gawking at her. As I walked by the donkey I heard a man say, "That is a fat donkey" I really wanted to yell at him, "Hey she is pregnant!" It would have been even funnier if Brian yelled it then put his arm around me...

With this pregnancy I feel like a freak show, I get told every day (that I go out) I look beautiful by strangers and when I walk by a crowd, people stare at me. I was walking around in our neighborhood and a woman pulled over to tell me I look "adorable" I guess its a good kind of freak show.

In Oatman they do a skit that involves guns and bank robbery, The kids do not like the fake gun sounds, but it is fun to watch.

Katie in Oatman, I loved the color of the wall behind her, and she is pretty as always!
On march 5th we celebrated Brian's 9th birthday. I took a chance and we gave
him money. He has been good about saving it and planning carefully what he wants to buy. Brian got an awesome "Camp Fire Cake" all the kids were exited for that. Notice in the photo Gordon helped Brian blow out the candles!
Gordon and Daddy at the computer.
I thought Susan's drawing of a guitar was so good, she is going to be an artist!
We got hit with a ton of snow right at the end of Spring break! It snowed most of Sunday afternoon, Some snow flakes were as big as golfballs! He kids put on snow clothes and played until they were too cold. It was every exciting and the kids were even more exited when they got a 1/2 snow day, late start on Monday!

About a week before Reuben was born I finished the shower curtain I had been saving up for and planning to make for months! I love the way it turned out, the bottom has the same ruffle as the top.I also added trim to the hand towel and finished decorating the bathroom.

While I was in labor my Mom and I sewed a sock bunny family, Brian Jr requested a vampire bunny with claws and a shirt. My mom did a perfect job custom making one for him! I can't believe what a big family Brian and I have! seeing the 3 boy bunnies and 2 little girly bunnies looks like so many!
Can you tell how much Gordon loves his bunny?! he scooted the chair to get to his bunny. (I am so happy he did not decide to climb the book case to get it!)
Gordon's new favorite thing is painting. He asks to paint almost every day.
And the best part of March, was a new baby! George Reuben Jones was born March 22, 2012. Last night Gordon was saying "Reuben George...Reuben monkey?" Gordon loved his new brother. Reuben is a very good baby! baby and Mamma are doing very well! We all feel so happy to have him in our family he brings the spirit with him and so much love!

George Reuben Jones

Here is my pregnant belly a few days before Reuben was born. I stuck out very far And felt very huge! When I looked at Reuben after he was born I thought, "Yes I can believe that little baby was inside me." and, when I saw him stretch for the first time the look felt familiar. This little baby took up a lot of room!

During labor my mom and I sewed sock bunnies. It was a nice way to pass the time and distract from the pain. Until the pain got to be too much then I had to put the needle down. Between my mom and I, we sewed 10 bunnies. What is it they say about multiplying like bunnies?

I went to the Hospital to be induced at 6:00 am. I was not far dilated or effaced. At 4:00pm (ish) I was dilated to a 5 and I got an epidural, He was born at 6:45 pm after just 2 pushes. It really was not too bad a delivery. The Dr. said Reuben had his hand by his face when he was born, he had to pull his arm out then the rest of his body. Daddy did not watch this delivery, but he did not faint. He just let me squeeze his hand very hard, and Grandma Fuller was able to come to another baby birth.
All the family was able to come and see Reuben when he was just a few minutes old. The kids were all very peaceful and kind, for me it was a spiritual moment. I truly felt a overflowing of love for my 4 other kids when they came to visit and behaved so well. They had a lot of questions, about my IV and if it hurt when he was born, why Reuben was so dark and pink, what were all the bracelets for and they all wanted to hold him. It was a very nice first meeting and experience! My only regret is that we didn't have our first family prayer together, during that spiritual experience.

The wonderful Comstock family came to visit and watched the kids during the delivery! I was so nice to have then come visit, and help us out!

Daddy and Reuben. I admit I am jealous of Brian because he is blessed with 3 sons, to do boy stuff with, and take camping. I am great full for all my kids but, dads have a special relationship with sons and moms have a special relationship with daughters. We are all very blessed, and Brian is a lucky Dad, looks like boys win 4boys and 3 girls.

Mamma and a "Its a boy" cookie from the Doctor. I was recovering well!

Reuben means "Behold a Son" That is what I thought every time I looked at him. I noticed he has a unique extra ear fold from the Fuller Family, long toes from his dad, (Katie was excited to see his long toes because she also has long toes.) He has a small clef chin like Gpa, dimples like all the Brian and Chantal Jones family, He has blue eyes like the rest of the Jones Family. His hair is dark now but will probably get lighter. People say he looks like Brian Jr. He looked a little like the Fuller family but also has a lot of Jones traits.

All the kids were exited to come back the next day to visit and hold Reuben.
Grandma and Gpa brought Susan and Gordon to visit, they brought him a stuffed toy, balloon and candy. Daddy picked up Katie and Brian early from school and they got to come visit, The nursing staff was so nice to them they gave the kids big brother and big sister stickers, they brought them juice cups, cookies and some Popsicles!
We were so lucky to have grandma and Gpa come visit! Grandma came to day before Reuben was born, she took us out to dinner and we did some shopping. Gpa was in Louisiana until Thursday, on Friday he got on a little air plane and flew to the small Kingman Airport. He was the only passenger on his plane! The kids had a lot of fun with them!
One of the first things I noticed was Reuben's toes! Look at those monkey toes, so cute!

Reuben had his first outing when he was just 2 days old. We took Grandma and Gpa to Oatman to see the wild donkeys, get ice cream and see the bank robbery skit. Reuben was an angel baby on the whole trip!

Susan loves to hold Reuben, every time she watches TV she asks to hold him. She wants to be his special Susan mamma. We are so lucky to have Reuben in out family!
